A very common, but not at all stale, technique of the updo variant would be the French Twist. It is very apt for wedding occasions. Twisting an unsecured ponytail upwards completely, does it, i.e. turns the pony tail on its head. These hairstyles suite any types of hair color too. The hairstyle gives a very attractively charming look on a women who can carry it off.

Another amiable type of a hair look provided by the updo genre is that of the ponytail. The ponytail as we know, is probably the oldest of hairstyling forms still surviving and there obviously has to be reason that it is still not passé. The reason is that it still works with the alluring, and innocent look that it provides, a look that in itself is evergreen. However with changing times it has come to become more specialized such as when the pony is worn on one side, or on top of the head or also in the form of two pigtails. The latter might not be so appropriate for the wedding occasion though.

A more easy- to – do option is provided by the bun type of updo wherein the hair is tied in a bunch at the back of the head. This type is also one of the very long surviving hairstyles. It can more elegantly formed in order to suit your special occasion.
