The first step in creating beautiful long lasting curls is thoroughly cleansing your head. Yes, you must start off with a deep shampoo cleansing. Styles will always last longer in your hair when it’s clean. Make sure you work some of your favorite moisturizer through the lengths of your hair, this helps towards eliminating and fighting against frizz.

Next you must detangle your hair. This is done by a blow dryer. A blow dryer is a must have in an woman’s household. Use the blow dryer to straighten your wet hair. You can also use a rounded brush. Remember, you don’t want to straighten it to much because we want to keep some of the texture in the hair. This makes it easier to curl.

Once most of your hair is dry you can take some of your favorite rollers and roll your hair up. Velcro rollers are always recommended, they are great for creating styles with volume and lose curls while keeping frizz to a minimum. Depending on the size of curls you want, you can use small, medium or large sized rollers. After your hair is all rolled up, sit under and hooded dry for at least forty five minutes. If you don’t have a hooded dryer you can attain the same results with a hand dryer.

After those minutes are up you can come from under the dryer. Carefully take the rollers out of your hair and spray your curls with holding spray. Applying to much holding spray can damage your hair, so don’t get carried away.

All that’s left for you to do is separate your curls to how you like it. If you want high volume curls turn your head downwards and separate the curls by softly back combing your hair. If you need to you can also using a curling iron to fix certain strands to your liking.
